HSA Adopts Flexible Working with Softworks' Flexitime
HSA, one of the UK's leading health plan providers, has selected the ClockWise Flexitime system, from Softworks to facilitate flexible working practices and help to manage attendance.
ClockWise will provide HSA with flexitime functionality to cover 550 office-based employees, and a further 100 remote employees who will use the web-based exception timesheet module. This means that all HSA employees are included on the same system for hours worked, absence and holiday records. The Computerised Timesheets module will enable HSA to store the same data on hours worked by remote staff, to facilitate compliance with the Working Time Directive.
HSA is keen to embrace the recently introduced flexible working legislation, and offer staff the ability to work hours that suit them. Recently, HSA came 15th in the Sunday Times Best 100 Companies To Work For Survey 2003 and, in addition, the special award for 'Wellbeing' reflecting their desire to look after their employees' welfare. ClockWise will provide HSA with a system that can cope with the number of different flexible working patterns with minimal manual intervention. Advanced system security features will enable staff to access the system themselves to view details of their own flexi-balances and holiday entitlements. This means they won't have to rely on their team leader to provide this information, which will relieve team leaders from time-consuming enquiries. ClockWise will be linked to HSA's HR & payroll system, allowing the seamless flow of information between the packages.
According to Clare Freeman, project manager, "the management information available within ClockWise is excellent; it's a function-rich system with potential to change with us."
