May 2009 - Silentnight
Silentnight can rest easy with time and attendance from Softworks.
Press Release: 31st January 2006 - Silentnight™ Beds the largest manufacturer of branded beds in the UK has chosen to implement a time and attendance solution from Softworks as part of their efficient working strategy.
Joel Barraclough, IS Manager at Lancashire-based Silentnight, said: “Silentnight has been striving for a lean working environment with real business efficiencies and a reduction in the manual processes. We wanted a system that provides all the functionality to reach our efficiency goals in all our departments.”
For the last 6 months Silentnight have been moving from a clocking, hourly-paid environment to salaried employees. The need to record the hours worked by employees per cell has become very important when reviewing the associated labour costs. “We need to know who is where and what they are working on as all the departments need to allocate costs and work, with all the information linking into our payroll system to make the wages process so much easier,” says Joel.
Using their existing card swipe system the new Softworks Time and Attendance system will cover over 800 employees at Silentnight’s manufacturing site in Barnoldswick, Lancashire, with integration into their ICS payroll software.
The ICS Payroll system is easily interfaced with the ClockWise time and attendance solution creating an automated system resulting in a significant decrease in administration time and queries to the payroll department, whilst presenting much more detailed information.
“Its great to work with one of our business partners, ICS, for this customer; closer integration between HR and Payroll software and Time and Attendance is key to greater business efficiencies and one step closer to the ultimate goal of a completely automated solution,” says Noel Dooley, Softworks.
