The Courts Service Deploy Softworks Workforce Management Solutions at a National Level

Softworks are delighted to announce that the Courts Service are piloting Softworks web-based Flexitime, Absence Management & Leave Approval Solutions in selected offices throughout their nationwide network of court buildings.

In 2006 the Courts Service Strategic Management Plan identified a requirement for the continued development of modern management and executive information systems to enable the Service to respond to ever changing business and operational requirements. The implementation of the Softworks range of Workforce Management Solutions is in keeping with this plan.

It also aligns with the Service’s promotion of a family-friendly, work-life balance. The Courts Service anticipate that the Softworks Time & Attendance / Flexitime and absence management applications will support their goals while ensuring their continued compliance with all relevant legislative requirements, such as the Working Time Directive.

In choosing a supplier for their new system the Courts Service needed to address the issue of security. “Our products have long been recognised as being suitable for use in a highly secure environment; this implementation is testament to the fact”. Noel Dooley, Sales Director, Softworks.

Another issue that was of interest to the Courts Service was the time frame required before the system would begin to yield returns. According to Noel Dooley of Softworks, “Softworks’ Clients leverage value from their investment from day one because we deliver a solution which incorporates dynamically all client and industry specific work policies and business rules while addressing both country and EU specific legislative compliance obligations and associated best practice”.

We used to have to work out all the shift enhancements and calculate the entitlements to be paid manually. Now we don't have to do that because the Softworks solution does it all for us. I think we must save at least two days each 4-weekly pay period through not having to make all the manual adjustments
