May 2009 - Payroll Support Technology of the Year Award

Softworks, workforce management specialists, have been awarded the prestigious IPASS Payroll Support Technology of the Year Award.

The awards ceremony, which recognised outstanding initiatives across the payroll industry, took place at a gala dinner and black tie event held in the Killashee House Hotel, Naas, Co. Kildare on Thursday last.

The Payroll Support Technology of the Year Award acknowledges technology suppliers who provide solutions that assist in the payroll procedure through ensuring that all information is available in order to successfully process an organisation's payroll.

Speaking at the ceremony Andrew Ferguson, MD of Softworks said “We are delighted to have been awarded the Payroll Support Technology of the Year Award. At Softworks we work hand in hand with payroll professionals and it’s great to have this relationship recognised and rewarded”.

Softworks provide the systems and processes organisations use to forecast their labour needs; schedule and deploy the workforce; track the amount and nature of workforce activity; manage planned and unplanned absence and, possibly most importantly of all, calculate and automatically generate accurate and timely payroll information.

We used to have to work out all the shift enhancements and calculate the entitlements to be paid manually. Now we don't have to do that because the Softworks solution does it all for us. I think we must save at least two days each 4-weekly pay period through not having to make all the manual adjustments
